Dress for Success - Claim Your Style With Italian Charms

I don’t know about you, but the toughest part of my morning routine is deciding what to wear. That’s right: I have no trouble hopping out of bed early…but I rarely get to work on time–all because I spend precious morning minutes pondering the perfect outfit. And it’s not even the big issues—like which top or what pants to wear—that take up all my time. I don’t even hassle over matching my socks: no, it’s the accessories that always get me. I blame my mother. She has always been great at accessorizing - a real natural! Some how her skills were lost on me.

Fortunately, I recently discovered the ideal accessory—it goes with every outfit!—the Italian Charm bracelet. This little accessory has rescued me from fashion oblivion countless times. And, lately, I’ve even managed to get to work on time! Italian charms meet every one of my criteria (and even several of my mother’s) for the perfect accessory: they match any outfit (very important factor!); they are unique; and they attract attention (especially on all-important date nights).

Italian charm bracelets are the popular new style of charm bracelet made of small flexible metal links, each with a unique image. They have become popular for their sleek style and because of the great variety of charm links—there are links for each and every style. Italian Charm bracelets are the perfect solution to any accessory problem because they go with any outfit.

The best thing about Italian charms is that they’re removable and interchangeable, which means that they can both fit your fashion needs and express your unique personality. Charms come in all styles—from serious to silly. You can choose to put your Italian Charm bracelet together with letters, to spell your name, or with images, to tell the story of who you are and what you like to do. For everyday use, you may choose to wear fun, personal charms that express your identity.

There are thousands of charms to fit your personality: charms that reflect your favorite pastimes and activities, charms that indicate your favorite travels or artists; you can even have Italian Charms made with photos of yourself or your friends! And, on those special occasions when you have to dress to impress, you can unlink a few of your personal charms and replace them with some more elegant ones such as flowers, classic paintings, or just sophisticated designs. And all the charms come in a sleek silver color, so you can be sure that they will match any outfit you choose.

Italian charms are just the accessory you have been looking for: they will flatter both your outfit and your excellent sense of style! No more wasting precious minutes before work or that big date digging through loud scarves and gaudy jewelry—just pull out your Italian charm bracelet and consider yourself a fashion accessory success!

While I can’t guarantee that it will be easy to pick out your outfit next time you’re preparing for that hot date, you can rest assured that you will at least have the perfect and unique accessory: your Italian Charm bracelet. When you’re on your date, you’ll be sure to impress him with your beautiful outfit accented by a gorgeous bracelet. Plus, if you include a few of your personal, fun charms, you’ll create a perfect conversation starter for your date. Who knows, maybe on your next date he’ll be wearing one as well!

Phyllis Yancy - On The Move

Phyllis Yancy's custom jewelry designs are untouchable; the quality, unquestionable. Just ask 2005 "American Idol" finalist, Anwar Robinson and actor, Malcolm Jamal Warner. Amazingly, the entire line is unique, handmade, and designed by Phyllis Yancy herself. Poised and vibrant in every sense of the words, Yancy founded Phyllis Yancy Designs more than ten years ago. Over this period, clients and customers have been mesmerized by beautiful Czech jewelry designs, Swarovski-cut crystals, Afrocentric beads, and other culture designs. Today, fueled largely by well-lit ambition and an exuberant passion to creatively enhance the lives of others, Yancy hopes to corner a relatively untapped and much-needed market -- mens' customized jewelry. And, if the male luminaries and celebrities she has as clients are any indication of early success, Phyllis Yancy is in great shape. Recently, EmediaCampaigns! sat down with Phyllis. We talked about her inspirations, devotions, her future projects, and of course, Phyllis Yancy Designs.

Fran Briggs: Good afternoon, Phyllis. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us.

Phyllis Yancy: Oh, thank you, Fran... What a great opportunity!

F.B. Lovin' your energy, Phyllis. Could you tell us more about your background?

P.Y. Yes. I've been married for seven years to a wonderful supportive man, Ernest Yancy. I have great family members on both sides. Beautiful parents, two incredible sisters, and the best in-laws one could ask for. Yep, surrounded by beautiful spirits. I graduated in 1998 with a master's in Integrated Marketing Communication from Roosevelt University, Chicago. Currently, I work in management at a major non-for-profit Association here in Chicago. I call this my 'meantime' job. Let's just say, I'm ready to 'live on purpose.' We all know, our world changes when we change.

F.B. Your jewelry is adorned by thousands. What is the inspiration, behind the inspiration of your handmade, custom-designs?

P.Y. The inspiration is the feeling I get when I custom-design a piece for someone and then receive such appreciation from that individual. When I know I have touched their spirit, I know my work is done! It is that very feeling that keeps me inspired.

F.B. "2005 American Idol Finalist," Anwar Robinson was seen on tour sporting several pieces of your designs. Could you briefly tell us how that came about?

P.Y. Briefly? (laughs) That might be hard for me! Okay, I will try... This is how my mens' line originated. I was home watching American Idol when contestant, Anwar Robinson came stage and began to sing Dionne Warwick's song, I Know I Will Never Love This Way Again. Now keep in mind, I didn't know anything one way or another about Anwar Robinson. As he was singing, I noticed he had on a beautiful, chocolate brown, velvet blazer and opened collar shirt. And yep -- nothing on his neck! Neck just bare. I looked and thought to myself, 'Man, Anwar, you need some jewelry.'

Okay, this is going to sound crazy but, all of a sudden, a small voice whispered in my ear: 'Well, why don't you make him some?' I jumped; (and) looked around because, the voice seemed so real to me. As if someone was there. I mean, no 'Come hither, thou...', just, 'Well, why don't you make him some?' I immediately went downstairs to my craft room and started creating jewelry for Anwar. Keep in mind, I had never designed men's jewelry before -- only women.

Well, to make a long story short, God showed me how to get the jewelry to him. Again, ordering my every step. It was because of that experience, I found that there is a market out there that the jewelry industry has missed -- men. Especially artists in the entertainment industry that don't necessarily want the enormous jewelry, i.e., 'Bling Bling!' but (rather) more cultural designs that connect with their spirit.

From this, God has blessed me and led me to design for several artists, including Malcolm Jamal Warner, Will Downing, Frank McComb, KEM, Che', Dave McMurray and Shelby Brown. I am now getting many artists from all backgrounds contacting me with great interest.

F.B. What an awesome story, Phyllis. It illustrates the importance of responding to our empowering, inner voice. Tell us, why do think designer beads are enjoying a resurgence in popularity these days?

P.Y. I think people are learning how to appreciate art in all forms. The beauty and energy these beads represent, the unique power to promote good health, and spiritual well-being has become an attraction. For example, people like to wear a carnelian stone for inspiration and prosperity. Tiger-eye stones represent clarity and peace. It is because of these positive energies and beliefs that God has brought my work to me. And, it's up to me to embrace the mysteries of this wonderful work.

F.B. Your product line and entire collection are both exemplary and unique. Was there ever a time when you doubted your ability to design such beautiful pieces?

P.Y. Sometimes I wonder if I will run out of ideas or if I am prepared for the "supply and demand" of my product. But mostly, I know God has given me a gift and I plan to obey the call and continue sharing this gift! When I feel I'm falling into a creative slump, somehow the Universe always brings an artist or customer my way, which gets me motivated all over again!

F.B. When did you first discover your passion and gift for creating beautiful, custom-designed jewelry?

P.Y. I always had a love for jewelry as a child. Funny story... I made my first pair of earrings for me and my sister with 'bobby pins.' I even made them dangle like chandeliers! My parents would not let us wear earrings at the time, so we had to make do! As far as designing real jewelry, I didn't realize that until 1995. This is yet another unbelievable story! While I was in undergraduate school, each student in one of my classes was charged with creating an artistic project. I told my instructor, 'Sorry, I don't have an artistic bone in my body.' He laughed and said, 'I think you will be able to come up with something; I believe in you!'

The very next day I decided to go to Michael's Arts and Craft Store. I walked down each aisle to see what would resonate with me. Well, I found myself in the aisle with the jewelry-making material and guess what? The rest is history. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I had any creative abilities! From there I did craft shows, home shows and sold to a couple of beauty salons. Lately, I'm finding my passion for designing one-of-a-kind pieces for men. We women can find jewelry everywhere we look, but for men ... the options are limited.

F.B. Most entrepreneurs have mentors as it pertains to the day-to-day operations of their businesses. Is this the same for you?

P.Y. Yes, I have spiritual mentors. Authors, Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer, Les Brown, Iyanla Vanzant and Deepak Chopra just to name a few. I read a lot of inspirational and motivational books and listen to tapes daily. I really believe if I can learn to create balance in my life, be opened to what God has for me, He will bring everything and everybody to me in order to do this business. When we live on purpose and live an inspired life, I don't believe we have to force anything or manipulate.

What God has for us, is for us! So my goal is to live a spiritual surrendered life and not be attached to any results. This automatically helps me with the day-to-day operations.

F.B. It's not atypical for an individual or organization to consult with others as it pertains to adding clarity to their vision. Who is responsible for helping clarifying the vision for Phyllis Yancy Designs?

P.Y. First, my husband, Ernest. He has this sort of quiet strength about him (which) brings me back to reality and helps me see the big picture. I sometimes lose that in all of the excitement! He keeps me focused...My sisters and a couple of girlfriends are always there letting me bounce ideas off of them, while also sharing their thoughts on what they think might work. My nephew, being the artist that he is has also been instrumental in helping me clarifying my vision for the company. Again, it's a blessing to have such a support team!

F.B. When are you most happiest?

P.Y.When I see an artist on stage proudly wearing a Phyllis Yancy Design -- whether that artist is considered 'famous' or not.

F.B. What's next for Phyllis Yancy?

P.Y. I would like to start focusing on marketing to retail stores such as Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, etcetera. We will see!

F.B. Believing all the best for you and your endeavors. Before we leave, please tell us how consumers can learn more about, or purchase your designs.

Blue Diamond Rings - How To Buy Blue Diamond Rings Online

The internet makes buying blue diamonds rings convenient and an easy process. This article will provide information on what to look for in an online jewelry store, and provides a link for finding well respected and trusted online jewelers that sells blue diamond rings. When buying blue diamond rings online it is wise to plan ahead for what you want and how much you is willing to spend. You will be more prepared in mind of what you is looking for and will prevent yourself from being scammed.

Decide the budget You is willing to spend
Deciding how much you is willing to spend will help narrow your target. You don't want to over-spend on anything you want to buy. Blue diamond rings can start at prices as low as $125 and upwards to thousands of dollars. You may want to look at different options for financing your purchase. Some online jewelry stores today allow two ways of paying, either a one time full payment or smaller monthly payments until you finish paying off the full price. Monthly payments is a good option for many people who want to look for more pricier blue diamond rings presently, but may not be able to pay the full price now. If you decide to go by monthly payments, make sure you remember to pay each month.

Check Their BBB Online Report
Unfortunately there are many thieves and scams on the internet these days, so it is important to guard yourself. Today most reputable online jewelry stores will have a BBB logo on their site. You can always check their report, and view what BBB (Better Business Bureau) has to say about the company. You will be able to view any complaints, and whether or not those complaints have been resolved.

Where You should NOT buy Blue Diamond Rings
I would advise you not to buy blue diamond rings on any type of auction site. There are too many risks involved with buying something on an auction site. An example would be lack of communication from the seller, whether or not the seller is selling blue diamond rings legally, and a higher possibility of scam. Most auction sites will not claim any responsibility if something goes wrong with the auction as it is often written in their TOS (Terms of Service). If you plan on buying non-expensive jewelry, then an auction site might be fine to buy from if you is willing to accept the risks, but not something as important as blue diamond rings.

A Blue Topaz is NOT the same as a Blue Diamond
This is something some people get confused about. A topaz is a gem replacement for diamonds, but is not a real diamond. You will see some online store selling "blue topaz diamond ring", these rings often just have bits of diamond with a topaz stone. You are not getting a blue diamond if buy you a topaz ring.

Affordable Jewelry - Handmade and Unique

Seek and you shall find. Search the internet and you will find unique, original pieces of jewelry and so much more. You can be internet savvy or a beginner and you can find the perfect jewel for yourself or to give as a gift.

Shopping using a computer is not a secret these days, but some of the best sites are. If you think about the millions of people who use the internet to promote and sell their products, this equals the same number of websites.

Narrow your search by using key words and you can eliminate what you do not want. Some websites are a treasure box waiting to be open. If you want a pendant necklace or bracelet made with creativity and love, search out handmade crafts.

If you would like a beaded ankle bracelet, use search words such as beads and anklets. Perhaps you want to buy a friend a necklace made with one of a kind shells for the summer, there are many affordable options.

Shopping on the computer is like going to the mall, but so much more convenient. You can easily compare prices, without taking a step. Another plus from shopping online is the variety of items that are out there. Guaranteed you will find exactly what you are looking for with just a few clicks of the mouse. One of the most interesting places to visit is a site called Etsy.

This is a wonderful place for talented, crafty entrepreneurs to showcase their artisan creations. You will find unique, beautiful creations from art to woodworking, with much in between. What is so great about many of these online shops is you can be assured to find something in your price range.

7 Reasons to Christmas Shop for Jewelry in July

Although the temperatures may still be high, many retailers are very much in the holiday spirit with their promotional efforts to get consumers buying. For a variety of reasons, people often choose to shop early for the upcoming Christmas season. As the month of July nears its end, we are officially five months away from Santa’s arrival. What does this mean? For many, it’s the perfect time to find the right gift at the right price. Below are 7 reasons to consider shopping early for your jewelry gift-giving ideas.

Product availability. As the holidays draw near, it becomes increasingly difficult to find exactly what you are looking for in terms of gifts. Because everyone has shopping on their mind, the best and most popular buys are often snatched up in a hurry. If you want to avoid the rush and get everything on your shopping list, now is the time to check out retailers for the best availability.

Competitive pricing. These days, the market is all about supply and demand. When the holidays arrive, the demand will be great and supply may be low. What does this mean? Quite possibly, it could mean higher pricing. If you want to get everything on your list at a competitive price, shop early to ensure that you get a good deal.

Avoid the holiday rush. The day after Thanksgiving is said to be the busiest shopping day of the year. Why? Because everyone is preparing for the next celebration, which is Christmas. If you want to avoid the crowded stores or ‘sold out’ notices on your favorite online jewelry products, now is the time to buy. You will not be competing with the large number of holiday shoppers as you would otherwise be facing later in the year.

Worry-free deliveries. How many times have you ordered something and kept your fingers crossed that it would be delivered in time for Christmas? This feeling is one of the worst, as it always seems to be that special gift that you really wanted to give. If you want to avoid the stress of worrying about whether or not your gift will arrive in time, shop early. If you order now, there’s no doubt that your item will be ready for wrapping this holiday season.

Extra time for personalization. If you purchase a ring that needs sizing, you will enjoy having the additional time to make sure it’s ready in time for gift-giving. If you’ve ever asked a jeweler to size a ring near the holidays, you already know what a task this can be. If you plan to personalize a jewelry item, such as a pendant, bracelet or ring, it’s equally important to allow enough time for the jeweler to complete your order in time for the holidays.

Less likely to overlook someone on your list. We all know that family and close friends are on our Christmas list, but what about the other people in our lives who we may want to send our holiday greetings to this year? Perhaps your mail carrier, doctor, teacher(s), employer, co-workers or other special person would potentially be on your shopping list. One of the best ways to avoid overlooking someone is to start shopping early and, as the old saying goes, “make your list and check it twice.”

Save money on shipping costs. Whether you are ordering an item to be delivered to your home or you plan to ship something to your distant friends or family, shipping costs can quickly add up during the holiday season. This is especially true if you are a last minute shopper and holiday delivery means having to incur express or overnight shipping charges just to make sure the gift(s) arrive in time for gift-giving. Shopping early means having your gifts in plenty of time for regular shipping fees to get your packages delivered.

Almost Diamonds, a popular online retailer specializing in sterling silver jewelry, has a complete line of items featuring cubic zirconia and genuine gemstones in a variety of styles to choose from, many of which would be perfect for Christmas gifts.
